Wildlife

duck

Baby Wood duck found at Lake Britton 6-30-10. It went to a licensed wildlife rehabilatator here in Shingletown. When it is old enough it will be released back at Lake Britton. Wood ducks are one of the hardest ducks to raise. They have a very high mortality rate, thank goodness this one is doing great!

Nest of baby Bluejays was knocked down by someone painting their house. They were transported to Shast Wildlife and will be released back in Shingletown.
